Íris is a psychoeducational AI tool operated by Talking Works Psychology (ABN 21 907 289 900). It does not constitute psychological treatment, counselling, or any regulated health service under Australian law. Use of Íris does not establish a therapeutic relationship.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic).
We collect your first name, email, encrypted password, chat messages, emotional check-in data, and journal entries. We do not require your full name, date of birth, Medicare number, or financial information.
Your data is used solely to deliver the Íris service, ensure clinical safety, and improve the service using de-identified data. Your data is never sold or shared for commercial purposes.
Your data is stored in Australia with encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and strict access controls. Chat messages are processed through Anthropic's API: anthropic.com/privacy.
Data retained up to 7 years per Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) and AHPRA guidelines. To request deletion: hello@talkingworks.com.au.

Access to Íris is provided on a subscription or one-off access basis. All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 10%, as required under the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 (Cth). A GST-inclusive tax invoice will be issued automatically upon each payment. Talking Works Psychology (ABN 21 907 289 900) is registered for GST.
Talking Works Psychology provides refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as applied in Victoria.
Your ACL rights: You are entitled to a refund or cancellation of your subscription for the unused portion if Íris has a major failure — meaning the service is substantially different from what was described, does not function as advertised, or is unfit for its stated purpose. These rights cannot be excluded by any policy.
Change of mind: We do not offer refunds for change of mind once access to the service has been provided. If you have not yet accessed the service, please contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will assess your request.
Partial refunds for subscriptions: If a recurring subscription is cancelled mid-period following a confirmed service failure, a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the billing period will be issued.
How to request a refund: Contact hello@talkingworks.com.au with your name, email address used to register, date of purchase, and a description of the issue. We will respond within 5 business days. If unresolved, you may escalate to Consumer Affairs Victoria at consumer.vic.gov.au or call 1300 558 181.
